ISEF opens the doors of higher education for bright young Israelis who wouldn't have the chance without our help.    In the global knowledge economy, Israel cannot afford to waste its most important natural resource – the minds of its young people. Yet even today, less than half of Israeli teens get their high school diploma, and far fewer go to college.
ISEF was the very first organization to focus on higher education as the key to promoting Israel's economic well-being and regional security.  Since 1977, thousands of promising young Israelis have earned degrees with ISEF’s support and become key players in Israel’s economy and society.

Many organizations support university scholarships in Israel.  But at ISEF, scholarships are just the beginning.  Here’s why: Emphasis on Excellence. ISEF selects students who show real potential for leadership. Then, while they study, ISEF's leadership training seminars and community service programs equip them with the theoretical and practical skills they need to maximize their potential. Continuity of Support. Students know they can count on ISEF's support for as long as it takes to reach their goal - whether that is a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D., or even postdoctoral research. Support Systems that Work.  ISEF nurtures its scholars and helps them stay the course.  ISEF's systems can address any unforeseen emergency, whether family, medical, or army reserve duty. Thanks to ISEF’s on-campus network of assistance, over 90% of ISEF’s scholars finish their studies and earn their degrees. Impact on the Larger Community.  ISEF creates a “ripple effect” in Israel's underserved areas.  ISEF scholars carry the “Yes I Can” message to over 3,400 teens in development towns and urban neighborhoods, through education projects that help them finish high school and qualify to go to college. ISEF’s thousands of successful graduates are living proof that ISEF makes a life-changing difference - for them, their families, their communities, and for Israel.
